About DocNova
DocNova was designed to address a critical security vulnerability in the modern web: the mandatory uploading of personal and professional documents to remote servers for simple operations. We process 100% of your data client-side inside a sandboxed environment.
The Security Paradox of Cloud Document Editing
Every day, millions of people upload tax returns, corporate briefings, medical records, and bank statements to online PDF converters and compressors. These platforms process files on remote servers, which creates multiple security liabilities: data retention policies, transfer interception risks, server compromises, and unauthorized user tracking.
DocNova reverses this pattern completely. By utilizing modern browser capabilities including WebAssembly compilers, scoped Service Workers, and isolated RAM memory modules, we compiled a full suite of document processing engines that run directly on your own device's hardware.
When you load a PDF into DocNova, it is loaded purely as a secure local memory buffer. The operations are executed instantaneously on your CPU inside a highly restricted sandboxed iframe environment, then returned directly to your downloads directory.

Our Architectural Guarantees
Every decision we make, from library choice to infrastructure architecture, adheres strictly to our core privacy values.
100% Offline-First
Our tools operate independently of network status. Once pre-cached by the Service Worker, you can run all document processes in flight, off-grid, or inside secure military-grade intranet systems.
Zero Telemetry & Tracking
We collect no logs, track no usage metrics, store no cookies, and utilize no external analytic frameworks. You can audit your browser console network tab—no telemetry packets ever leave DocNova.
Free & Accessible
DocNova believes core privacy utilities should be a fundamental human right. No paywalls, no watermark injections, no user registration requirements, and fully compliant with WCAG accessibility standards.
Project Origins
DocNova was founded in 2026 by an open-source community of security engineers, privacy advocates, and high-performance web system architects. Distressed by the steady centralization of the internet and the massive accumulation of user document metadata by corporate cloud services, the group set out to prove that complex tools could run completely decentralized.
By leveraging the rapid maturity of WebAssembly, client-side vector renderers, and modern JavaScript engines, we built DocNova as a high-fidelity alternative. Since launch, we have processed over millions of documents locally, saving gigabytes of bandwidth while securing a privacy barrier for researchers, lawyers, developers, and everyday citizens.
